Knowledge and Experience:

Job Description

Job Purpose:
-To organize the demand planning process for the US business (Dechra and Putney) from a number of different demand planning points using the following strategies:
> Translation of sales (customer trends) and marketing planning processes (promotional, new and discontinued products ) into the finished good demand forecast
> Understanding of inventory trends to augment the promotional planning process ensuring use of inventory in a timely manner
> Receiving orders from customers and ensuring entry into Oracle/SAP and consistency with demand planning
-Early identification and communication of potential demand driven backorders and resolving the issue with Supply Chain.
-Owns the creation, calculation and tracking of KPIs being service level and forecast accuracy.
-Owns the new product go to market commercialization process including timelines and follow-up on information being provided to supply chain (including forecasts, graphics etc. ensuring a timely and successful launch.)
-Owns the (develops/modifies) processes associated with ordering, shipping and ship confirming product to the customer via orders, samples, replacement products etc. including ensuring criteria for revenue recognition as defined by finance was achieved.
-Involved in the customer set-up processes and procedures.
-Involved in and ensures compliance with Regulatory and Licensing Authorities as it pertains to State Boards of Pharmacy (i.e. shipping into State).
-Manages the relationship with the 3PL as it pertains primarily to pick, pack and ship processes and inventory accuracy (cycle counts and physical inventory) and month end cut-off/inventory reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities:
-Translation of sales and marketing plans into the demand plan forecast tool on a rolling 18 month basis.
-Analysis of historical move out data for assessing past forecast accuracy, understanding the impacts of previous initiatives and projection of new forecast
-Co-coordinates the S&OP meeting (w/Supply Planner), preparing and presenting the demand plan (facts/strategies) and KPIs such as documentation support and highlight discrepancies in the demand planning via forecast accuracy measures and service level metrics to identify issues.
-Creates forecast plan for Budget, Reforecast 1 (3+9) and Reforecast 2 (9+3) to track forecast accuracy KPI providing performance information at the S&OP meetings.
-Key contact in the customer order entry process liaising and prioritizing order fulfilment with customers via the 3PL.
-Receives orders from customers and enters/ensures entry into the system (Oracle/SAP) and tracks the service level KPI (to be defined).
-Interacts with Customers/Freight providers related to the priorities in the delivery of product to the customer including prioritization of third party warehouse resources to ensure the delivery of product at the end of the month.
-Ensures the completion of business processes for month end including timely and accurate month end shipments and sales cut-off assisting the close process in Oracle.
-Analysis of month end inventory levels and stock status for completion of the inventory provision
-Executes the commercialization (launch process) of New Products including accurate forecast with Marketing/Sales and customers and ensuring the timely completion of inputs (graphics, setting up the SKU in Oracle or SAP systems) to the supply chain.
-Develops the analysis of Sales forecast with marketing, challenge accuracy to , gaps and inconsistencies. Prepare and issue Supply reports before the Demand S&OP meeting, for review at the meeting.
-Respond to any Demand Events, identified by the teams for subsequent supply chain action
-Actively involved in the State Board of Pharmacy Licensing processes with Regulatory.
-Involved in validating customer set-up processes including address verification, State Veterinary Licensing verification and DEA Licensing verification.
