Field Technical Services Veterinarian (NV)
Job RequirementsEducation: DVM, VMD or equivalent with valid US license to practice veterinary medicine in the United States, an advanced degree is a plus.
Clinical experience in a small animal clinic. Additional experience in field technical services with small animal-focused animal health products required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to relate to a wide spectrum of Nutramax employees, Veterinarians and customers.
Must be able to handle high work-loads and unforeseen Nutramax needs. Willing and able to travel 50-75% of the time.
IT: Highly competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Languages: English fluency. Speak and understand Spanish and/or French a plus.

Job DescriptionMission: The Field Technical Service Veterinarian provides technical support on products and programs to aid the Nutramax sales team. The Field Technical Service Veterinarian will plan, implement and engage in opportunities with the Nutramax team and distributor sales people, veterinarians, industry leaders, colleges and universities to enhance the image of Nutramax and increase sales.
Area of accountability 1: Primary resource for technical information to support efforts of the field sales team by:
working with the sales managers on sales calls and other customer interactions
providing technical information for the field sales team and customers regarding Nutramax products
working with Sales Management to plan, develop and implement technical learning opportunities for the Nutramax sales team members
participating in both Nutramax and Distributor sales or training meetings as requested
Evaluation criteria: Ensure that each sales team member, with guidance from Management, has appropriate technical support for their sales efforts and appropriate opportunity to enhance their technical knowledge of Nutramax products, thus enhancing their ability to increase sales.
Area of accountability 2: To support the sales team and veterinarians by:
working with sales team members to establish professional relationship with key clinics and veterinarians
responding to questions and inquiries related to Nutramax products from veterinarians
identifying opportunities for and provide recommendations about use of Nutramax products
assisting and participating in planning and presentation of Clinic lunch and learns and dinner meetings providing CE credits to veterinarians and veterinary technicians
providing support to Distributors by conducting presentations
Evaluation criteria: Ensure Nutramax continues to be a trusted source of information and products for general practice veterinarians
Area of accountability 3: Strengthen relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) by:
working with Sales team and in house veterinary staff to plan and implement specific activities to establish and strengthen the relationship with KOLs in assigned area
keeping KOLs informed of new products and providing scientific information to their areas of interest
providing input to marketing on specific items that impact the marketing of a product or program
Evaluation criteria: Increased support of Nutramax products and programs by KOLs
