The US Head of Sales / US Head of Key Accounts is responsible for leading the Animal Care Expansion (ACE) Key Accounts Team in the implementation of brand & account strategies so to meet and exceed business sales and profitability objectives.
Coach, develop and assess performance of Key Account Managers within the ACE Team to achieve maximum individual and team performance
Build Key Account team effectiveness and accountability to achieve agreed metrics
Address performance issues rapidly whilst maintaining our values of respect for people.
Achieve/exceed ACE sales objectives by account and brand
Lead the development of Key Account strategies in line with business and brand strategy
Develop strong relationships with key retail partners
Manage sales operational expenses
Own & understand product sales and spend by account; monitor trends and report monthly.
Drive market intelligence initiatives and monitor competitor' activities.
Promote the image of Elanco as a professional animal health company.
Identify and recruit high quality candidates to grow the capabilities of the ACE Key Accounts team
Additional Skills/Preferences :
Post graduate degree (business and/or marketing)
Sound understanding of OTC retail environments
Sales experience in a multi-channel consumer goods environment
Good knowledge of the pet care marketplace and retailers preferred
Proven experience managing & mentoring talent
Capability to influence both internal and external stakeholders
Proficiency with Windows software suites
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Initiative and resilience.
