Job RequirementsMidwest Veterinary Supply is seeking a Midwest Business Unit Marketing Specialist for our Lakeville, Minnesota corporate office.
The Marketing Specialist position will be responsible for managing a variety of marketing assignments within the designated business unit. This role provides marketing communication between manufacturer accounts for Midwest Veterinary Supply corporate office and the sales team. Primary duties include partnering with assigned high level rebate vendors to increase visibility of their product line and maximize growth potential including managing marketing relationship with vendor partners including budgets, customized product launches, exclusives, promotions and sales incentive development. The position will work alongside various internal departments while providing support to the Business Unit Director to develop and communicate implementation of projects, promotions and spiff incentives.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
Must be able to perform each essential function
A High School Diploma or equivalency is required
A College degree in Marketing, Communications or
Project Coordinator required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in an office
setting, preferably in a marketing or project
Experience using MS Office, print, web-based and
social media marketing preferred
Budget and Data Analysis skill preferred
Veterinary Industry experience preferred
Ability to read, write and speak English
Ability to read and interpret documents such as
safety rules, employment policies, operating
instructions, and procedural manuals
Excellent verbal and listening communication
Excellent organization skills with ability to
multi-task & prioritize tasks
Strong attention to detail

Job DescriptionThe Business Unit Marketing Specialist position will manage a working relationship with assigned high level rebate vendor partners to increase visibility and sales revenue for product lines through development and communication of promotional material, product launches, customized programs, exclusives, and incentives. Collaboration with vendors as well as internal departments of Midwest Veterinary Supply to manage special marketing funds and help identify, develop, implement, and communicate new programs to accomplish sales goals and rebate objectives. Review reports with manufacturers to see where additional assistance may be necessary.
The Business Unit Marketing Specialist will follow specified Business Unit Director and Manufacturers initiatives to create exclusive programs involving our Midwest Business Solutions brands and co-branding with our manufacture partners. This includes communication and aligned efforts with Sales to ensure Midwest Veterinary Supply achieves all corporate rebate goals for the Midwest Business Unit. The position will develop marketing collateral and manage projects directed by the Business Unit Director. The Marketing Specialist will oversee marketing support for Shelter programs, social media content for Midwest as well as assist in directing the Subject Matter experts (Specialists by Dept.) to achieve all sales objectives.
The Business Unit Marketing Specialist will ensure the sales team has high quality, timely materials the Marketing Specialist will be responsible for managing the creative processes related to unique and exclusive opportunities to further increase visibility of our company at Regional and National levels. Maintain and update existing marketing materials including but not limited to project management of weekly and monthly communication publications and summary of promotions. Assist with the development of new materials in print and electronic format which will include promotional materials, brochures, multi-page publications, and custom projects. Create, update and evaluate modules in Brainshark or other assigned training platforms utilized by Midwest Veterinary Supply and our Manufacturer partners. This position will also serve as back up to other MVS Marketing Associates.
The Business Unit Marketing Specialist will be required to conduct meetings with manufacture partners at the corporate office or off-site; be present in all requested meetings, conference calls and training opportunities. Continue Personal growth and development within the industry to follow trends, new products and new manufacturers by attending conferences and trade shows recommended by the Business Unit Director.
The Business Unit Marketing Specialist will work closely with Business Unit Director to provide mentoring and training opportunities for newly hired sales staff during orientation.

Work is typically performed Monday through Friday in an office team environment. Working more than 40 hours per workweek may be required. You may be required to work weekends during specified conferences, trade shows or business meetings upon request. Business travel will be required.
