Companion Animal Marketing Specialist II (Lakeville, MN)
Job RequirementsMidwest Veterinary Supply is seeking a Companion Animal Marketing Specialist II for our Lakeville, Minnesota corporate office.
The Marketing Specialist II position will be responsible for managing a variety of marketing assignments within the Small Animal division. These duties include maintaining and updating existing materials as needed and assisting in the development of new materials in printed and electronic format. This position will also work with assigned vendor partners forging a relationship to increase visibility of the vendors product line through standard and customized product launches, promotions and sales incentive development to increases sales revenue through those lines. The position will also work alongside various internal departments to develop and communicate the implementation of new projects as well as provide support to our sales force.
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
Must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily
Associates degree in marketing/communications or other related field
Minimum of 5 or more years of experience in a marketing or project management role
Five years of veterinary industry experience preferred
Experience using MS Office and Adobe Writer required. Experience with Creative Suite 5 or 6 a plus
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, employment policies, operating instructions, and procedural manuals
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask
Must be self-motivated, able to work independently, and problem solve
Strong attention to detail
Strong project management skills
Promotion development experience
Familiarity with copy-writing, editing and design
Job DescriptionEssential Job Functions:
Manage a working relationship with assigned vendor partners to bring visibility and increased sales revenue to their product line through development and communication of promotional materials, product launches, customized programs and sales incentives. Work with those assigned vendors to manage marketing dollars that are available or requested to accomplish these objectives.
Maintain and update existing marketing materials as needed. Assist in the development of new marketing materials in printed and electronic format which will include promotional materials, multi-page publications, brochures, invitations, web content and custom projects.
Develop unique and exclusive opportunities to further increase visibility of our company at a regional level as directed.
Coordinate with various internal departments to help develop, communicate and implement new projects as well as provide support to the sales force.

Ability to occasionally sort boxes of printed material weighing up to 35 pounds

Work is typically performed Monday through Friday in an office environment. Working more than 40 hours per workweek may be required.
