Supply Chain Coordinator (Portland, Maine)
Job RequirementsDechra is an international specialist veterinary pharmaceuticals products business. Our expertise is in the development, manufacture, and sales and marketing of high quality products exclusively for veterinarians worldwide.
Participate in S&OP meetings, prepare supply documentation and raise any issues. Analysis of Sales forecast and challenge accuracy, gaps and inconsistencies. Prepare and issue Supply reports before the Demand S&OP meeting, for review at the meeting.
Respond to any Demand Events, identified by the teams for subsequent supply chain action.
Utilize the Supply Planning tool/spreadsheet to take forward demand forecast information by SKU and compare it with existing inventory and future pending purchase orders and create purchase orders to resupply.
Share forward rolling 12-18 month forecast and place appropriate finished goods and API purchase orders on Dechra manufacturing and 3rd party suppliers to resupply required inventory at the correct point in the planning month with the correct order frequency and lead time.
Key day to day contact with suppliers, regarding orders and deliveries, managing risks and issue resolution and communicating appropriately.
Attend reviews and meetings with suppliers as appropriate.
Coordinate new product introduction for the US with relevant suppliers.
Support any projects with suppliers.
Ensure inventory accuracy in warehousing, and track short life, slow movers, etc.
Update systems with goods receipts, identify and resolve any issues.
Ensure accurate data in planning tool/spreadsheet is maintained.
Job DescriptionTo organize product supply for the US business from a number of different supply points using the following supply strategies:
*Translation of commercial demand plans into finished goods supply forecasts.
*Placing orders with suppliers, to ensure deliveries are on time and in full versus supply agreements.
*Optimization of inventory holding to create optimal supply plans to best serve customers at lowest supply chain cost.
Gather and analyse key data in support of Supply chain team, covering, warehousing, inventory, orders, service, and translate in to recommendations and action plans.
Key Performance Indicators:
* Customer OTIF performance
* Optimization of inventory
* Performance scorecard for all suppliers
* Stock availability for product launches, to agreed timeline
Energetic, ambitious individual, with a couple of years of experience, who is not afraid to challenge the status quo. A self-starting pro-active approach is required. Ability and confidence in developing effective relationships with a range of internal and external customers. They need to be well organised and have the ability to cope with a variable workload and maintain focus on quality of service.
